TIM CAMPBELL, Chief Executive Officer
After winning BBC's The Apprentice, Tim spent two years working for Amstrad plc under the mentorship of the company's Chairman and CEO, Sir Alan Sugar, where he set up a Health and Beauty division within the company. Tim is a Child Ambassador for London and was appointed by the government to focus on the particular problems of the capital's young people under the Government's Every Child Matters agenda. He is closely involved with the Jack Petchey Foundation, the ACLT and is an active supporter of the NSPCC (he ran the London Marathon for them in 2006), Learn Direct and Connexions. He is also the face of the British Library's campaign to promote their business support services. Tim is now leveraging his experience and public profile to promote and lead Bright Ideas Trust.
ANDY MENARY, Beneficiary and Investment Manager
Andy has a background in the financial services industry and, in particular, its impact on small businesses. He was Director of Operations for a major London-based enterprise support organisation where he managed business loan funds worth over £7m and established an innovative vehicle for leveraging commercial finance to businesses that had been turned down by banks. Andy ran his own small specialist courier business for a few years, learning the hard way all the difficulties new businesses face. Andy started his career with nearly 25 years in banking, including roles as a small business branch based lender, a senior member of the finance department responsible for investment project appraisal, and strategic planning for the mortgage business including a major aquisition. Andy is qualified as an ACIB and has an MA in E-Commerce.

ALF LANGLEY, Beneficiary Support Manager
Alf has had a long and successful career in retail banking with Abbey National (now Santander) as a Branch and Area Manager, where he was responsible for developing individuals and teams to achieve demanding sales and service targets. He has more recently been involved with the administration of cricket in this country and providing pastoral support to students on MBA courses. With this rounded background, he is ideally placed to help to guide our investees in dealing with the critical issues that businesses face especially in their early stages of development.
JILL THORN, Office Manager
Jill started her career as a secretary at the BBC and then went on to work as a PA at Hooper & Co, a Rolls-Royce coachbuilder and then Pizza Hut. She also worked as a Project Manager at IPC Media.
ALEX BROWN, Executive Assistant
Alex worked as Team Assistant at two small Mobile Technology companies before joining Goldman Sachs where she was Team Assistant on the Pan European Trading desk before becoming PA to the Head of Equity Sales and the Head of New Market Sales.
LEO THORNTON, Investment Associate
Leo joined the team after being recommended by one of our partners, Business in the Community. Leo is from Leeds where he was involved in organising local charity schemes. He is a graduate of Nottingham University with a degree in Ancient History. His entrepreneurial experience was gained via a small business venture whilst at university. He was responsible for the companies launch and branding and his expertise in this field makes him a valuable member of our team.
