Bright Ideas Trust's Board of Trustees is made up of the following individuals:

Nigel KershawNIGEL KERSHAW OBE

Nigel is Chief Executive of Big Issue Invest and Chairman of The Big Issue. He is a leading practitioner and advocate of social enterprises that offer business solutions to social problems. He has also founded two printing and publishing companies. 'Big Issue Invest' is a specialist provider of finance to social enterprises. In July 2007, he was nominated as 'Director of the Month' by the Institute of Directors. Nigel is also a Cabinet Office Social Enterprise Ambassador as well as a Director of the Social Enterprise Coalition and a director and advisor to a number of social enterprises.

Iqbal WahhabIQBAL WAHHAB OBE
Iqbal is a serial entrepreneur. After leaving newspaper journalism, he set up his own PR firm in 1991 and launched a magazine in 1994. In 2001 he launched the multi-award winning Cinnamon Club restaurant and in 2005 opened Roast restaurant in Borough Market. Iqbal chairs the Government's Ethnic Minority Advisory Group and sits on a Task Force with five Cabinet Ministers to formulate government policy. In 2007 he was awarded an Honorary Doctorate in Business Administration by the University of East London. He is Patron for Concern Worldwide and an Ambassador for Rivington Place. He is also Skills Ambassador for the 2012 Olympic Games. Amongst his many awards, he has been voted Finalist in the 'Entrepreneur of the Year' award, 'Restaurant Personality of the Year' by Menu Magazine and Finalist in the 'Asian Businessman of the Year' awards.  Most recently he has been given the Social and Humanitarian Award at the House of Lords British Muslim Honours Awards.

Margaret MountfordMARGARET MOUNTFORD
Following many years as a corporate law firm partner at Herbert Smith, Margaret has more recently taken on a number of business roles. Margaret is a non-Executive Director of Amstrad plc. and Georgica plc. She also chairs the Board of Governors of an inner-London Church of England Comprehensive School. Until recently Margaret had taken on the role as one of Sir Alan Sugar's advisors in the BBC's The Apprentice television show.  In 2009 Margaret left the show to continue her PhD in papyrology at University College London, studying documents found in Egypt and written in ancient Greek.



 PAUL HUMPHRIES
Paul Humphries has spent the last 25 years working in business start-up and corporate venturing, and was a founder and director of Opta, a business creation company that helped to start up online bank Egg and the Opta Sports Index. A NYSE listed company acquired Opta in 2003. Prior to this he had a corporate career spent mainly with Cable & Wireless and Philips in a range of general management, sales, marketing and strategy roles. At C&W, he was ultimately responsible for two corporate ventures, where he first got the entrepreneurial bug. Most recently, he has worked with numerous start-up and early stage companies, advising on proposition development, business planning, fundraising and organisational and operational development and as an angel investor.
